Halloween
Straddling the line between fall and winter, plenty and paucity, life and death, Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition. It is thought to have originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off roaming ghosts. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1 as a time to honor all saints and martyrs; the holiday, All Saints’ Day, incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Hallows’ Eve and later Halloween. Over time, Halloween evolved into a secular, community-based event characterized by child-friendly activities such as trick-or-treating. In a number of countries around the world, as the days grow shorter and the nights get colder, people continue to usher in the winter season with gatherings, costumes and sweet treats.

Christmas
Christmas is a special time of year. Kid are excited to open presents and, eat Christmas dinner. Well, my favorite things to do on Christmas is to hang out with my family. Also I love to talk about Jesus Christ. Another thing I like about Christmas is you get to open presents but, I think we really don’t need them.
Hanging out with my family is my favorite thing to do on Christmas. For me eating Christmas dinner is the part were my family socialize the most. My family socialize the second most when we open presents together. Socializing with your family brings you closer to your family. Maybe it’s different for you?
My second favorite thing on Christmas is to talk about Jesus Christ. Sometimes Christmas falls on a Sunday witch to me is very unique. This Christmas did! I went to church did a play and sang songs. Including, Joy to the World, Mary did you know, Silent Night, and Come all ye Faithful. Again, maybe it’s different for you.
Now gifts, you’re probably thinking… GIFTS ARE AWESOME! I think well there awesome but, we really don’t need them. I told my parents a couple things I wanted for Christmas. Then, after a while they asked again and I said, “I’m Happy with what I got.”
So, we talked about my favorite things to do on Christmas and they were to hang out with my family, talk about Jesus Christ, and to open gifts. You know what I said last time. We really don’t care if I get presents or not. And again, it’s probably different for you. So have a good Christmas in 2017.
